Where is Pilion?

Pilion is 300 km from Athens and 250 m from Thessaloniki. Volos, the next bigger town, is 50 km away.

From Volos you drive in direction of Portaria and climb up to 1200 m sea level. In Chania, you take the way to the ski ressort and then turn left towards Kissos. You drive on a new  abreviation to Damouchari. From Volos to Damouchari it takes you one hour or 10 minutes more.

In Damouchari you do not need a car. You can each papa Nero, Agios Joannis or Fakistra by foot. Nevertheless, for excursions to Chania or Zagora, Tsangarada and other villages it is good to have a car.
